The Rubik’s Cube Speed-Cubing Tournament, organized by Raffles University Digital Technology Club, is an exciting and fast-paced event aimed at fostering critical thinking, friendly competition, and digital engagement. The competition will take place on 14th May 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at G3 & G4.

Open to all Raffles University students and non-students, the tournament will follow an official Average of 5 (Ao5) format:

Tournament Format:

● Preliminary Round: Each participant completes 5 solves.

● Scoring: Fastest and slowest times are removed. Ao5 is calculated from the remaining three.

● Finals: Top 5 proceed. Same Ao5 format. Top 3 are declared winners.

Inspection & Timing:

● 15-second inspection allowed before each solve.

● Judges will give a warning at 8 and 12 seconds.

● By the 12th second, participants must start the timer. Scrambling Procedure:

● Scramblers use 15-move scramble sequences from cstimer.

● Scrambled cubes are covered to prevent early inspection.

Rules & Fairness:

● No penalties like +2 or DNF will be applied.

● Participants can bring their own cubes (extras will be provided).

● Judges will monitor and guide each participant.

All participants will receive a small gift (a cube-themed keychain) as a token of appreciation.
